After only 12 months in operation the very first official Beach Tennis Club in the UK reaches its membership target.

Demand for Beach Tennis in the UK is proving to be high

Back in March 2016 the Brighton & Worthing Beach Tennis Club opened its doors. As the very first club of it’s kind in the UK it was definitely taking a step into the unknown. But 12 months on the Brighton based club has reached its first year club membership and is looking towards the new season and developing the club and its membership base further.

The initial success of the Brighton based club can be put down to the extensive development work Beach Tennis UK has undertaken in the region since the European Championships in 2014 which took place in the city.

Whilst the club still face many challenges ahead not least the continues issues over the availability and cost of facilities the enthusiasm and passion by a few key people at the club will hopefully ensure that the club will now move from strength to strength, and they are so passionate about the sport they play that they are confident that that in the coming 2017 season they can double their membership.

Good luck to everyone working so hard to make the Brighton & Worthing Beach Tennis Club a success.
